In response to numerous requests and to facilitate the late registration process for applicants, particularly those in provinces, the deadline of application is extended from 15 February to 20 February, 2024.

CamDEBATE 2024 consists of two levels (High School and University) divided into two categories: Debate and Public Speaking.

Each contestant can compete in ONLY ONE of the two categories of the competition (Public Speaking or Debate). The Competition Fee is $40, to be made in two stages.

Stage 1: Entry Fee ($20)

The $20 Entry Fee covers initial training sessions, the Audition Round and CamDEBATE contestant merchandise (T-shirt, lanyard, and contestant ID).

Stage 2: The Progression Fee ($20)

The $20 Progression Fee applies to contestants who pass the Audition Round. This fee covers further training sessions and subsequent rounds.

Note: The fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-DEFERRABLE.

Before competing in the Audition Round, all contestants will receive initial training sessions related to public speaking and debate skills while winners from each round will continue to receive further specialized training and mentoring sessions. The training aims to improve contestants' confidence when speaking in public and to equip them with the necessary skills for their future careers, including critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
